About Us

 What is a videonet?
A Video-NET is very different from a standard data network because it effectively is able to transfer a movie in real time to all students.

When handling multimedia content, its capacity often exceeds more than 10,000 times the information flow of a standard data network. In addition, a video signal is extremely sensitive and requires a specially designed cable to transfer its content over longer distances without any deterioration or delay. The Videodidact® Video-NET is uniquely designed to handle this kind of broadband-intensive traffic without compromising your standard data flow.

The Videodidact® Video-NET enables a user to quickly and easily send or receive any data or video signal, including but not limited to multimedia image formats regardless of size, volume or type and independent of any existing Network, Operating System or Software. Using a standard network designed for static data processing simply cannot handle video data in the same qualified way. Whenever a standard data network is loaded down with streaming video broadcast or any multimedia image transfer, the integrity of the normal data processing and information flow, as well as, the multimedia video signal quality is negatively impacted. The Videodidact® Video-NET is a time-tested and proven multimedia delivery solution ensuring safe, uninterrupted data flow to meet all of your needs.

Cat 5 cables

Most of our competitors are using the cat 5 cables for their computer classroom management systems. They argue that these cables are ‘new technology’ and that it is even better than the special coax cable, which we are using with our system. This is not true. They might look more like new technology due to the reduced thickness of the cable but they have reached this by jeopardizing the quality of their systems.

These cables are much more sensitive against noises coming from other sources like power supplies, lamps etc. They therefore need special adjustments during installation. In fact, every different length of a cable between students have to be specially adjusted in order to bring exact the 75 Ohm to the computer monitors, which they need to bring highest quality. If flat screens are used then the problem even is more serious. Also every time when the operator changes the resolution of his monitor the termination of the cable has to be adjusted in order to bring the required quality.

Videodidact is using a 4 x 75 Ohm double shielded coax cable for the 3 basic colors and for synchronizing of the picture, as well as 9 high quality AWG-26 cables for other signals, which are going separately through the cable. With this highest quality of cable we can assure best quality of picture because we bring exact the required 75 Ohm to the monitor without the need of adjusting every time if a cable length changes or the operator wants to use a different resolution in his monitor.

Because we provide highest quality via a long distance, we do not need any ‘booster’ between central unit and students. This again means that we do not need any power supply along the network to make the signal stronger. Finally this again means high reliability of the system because, as everyone knows, power supplies create heat and heat is a big source of damaging components.
The ergonomically designed Videodidact keyboards provide maximum operator convenience. All function keys are clearly labelled for their application.
