Technical Description of Videodidact®

1. System uses the Star topology for diagnostic ease, redundancy and high reliability and quality.

2. System will have one integrated and programmable control panel that will be used for instructor’s control and should work independently of software or operating system.

3. The connections of each computer are through an external box with no need of any additional power supply throughout the entire network.

4. The video-network should not need any special adjustments during installation or if amount of students will change in order to broadcast maximum quality.

5. The video-network is installable without the need of opening any hardware.

6. The video-network works totally independent from the installed situation. It can also be upgradeable to 48 students and more.
 
7. In a case of total loss of power of the videonet central unit, the instructor is able to continue with the regular lesson without any interruption (new setup etc.)

8. The video signal has a resolution of up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and even 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA). Speed of images (e.g. movie clips) is in real time.

9. Instructor’s screen can be transmitted to all students, a group of students or a single student.

10. A student’s screen can be transmitted to all other students, a group of students, or a single student.

11. Instructor can view any single student’s screen or can scan through the whole classroom.

12. The instructor can blank all students’ screen, a group of students or a single student’s screen with or without keyboard and mouse disabled.

13. Instructor can send his/her screen to any student and at the same time can blank any other student’s screen.

14. The instructor can view one student’s screen and control its mouse and keyboard.

15. The instructor can view one student’s screen and control all other student keyboards and mice.

16. Instructor can broadcast any student’s screen to any or all students for better training on situations.

17. The instructor may disable the keyboard and mouse of all the students, a group of students or of a single student.

18. The system allows instructor and student to operate the student’s computer interactively (like both would sit in front of the student’s computer) through remote control operating without any system switching.

19. Operations of most of the commands can be done by one keystroke. Sample: Instructor wants to send student # 3 screen to all students. Keystrokes: St.-3, ALL.

20. Instructor can highlight certain areas of his screen in different colors without using his regular mouse.
 
21. Students can quietly call for help by pressing the help buttons.

22. Instructor can give a single, group or all students the availability to look into his/her screen.

23. Instructor can send any screen to Projector and at the same time can monitor the students.

24. System can import any external video source like VCR, ELMO, Camera etc.

25. System allows ‘Macro-Commands’.

26. Audio connection is an option to each student in 3-mode function, totally integrated control panel that includes conference mode and external audio media.

27. 3 Year Warranty on parts and 1-year warranty on labor.

Some functions are optional available.
